Stoke Newington Town Hall and St Barts Pub Smithfield Wedding
It was a St Barts Pub Smithfield Wedding in London for Alex and Mat and what a day. First stop was Alex and Mats house for the bride prep. Relaxed, fun and a great vibe whilst hair and makeup was done. Alex’s dress was just stunning and as she made her way downstairs, looking beautiful, there was barely a dry eye in the house. I think the emotions finally ran free and her dad shed more than one tear as he gave her a huge hug. I love it when the emotions are visible, too many people try and hold it in, but Alex’s dad didn’t and it was wonderful to see.
Then off to Stoke Newington town hall for the ceremony. I love Stoke Newington town hall, it has such great light, character and charm. After the ceremony it was off the St Barts Pub Smithfield Brewery just on the edge of Smithfield Market. Such a cool venue.Huge windows filled the room with great light which shone on the pubs has amazing decor and detail. Food was served, glasses were filled and the party started. The band began to play and the dancing continued late into the night.
I managed to pull them both away for a walk and a few images as the sun dipped between the buildings. Wandering around the backstreets of this part of London is great, as at the weekends its relatively quiet and you can have the place to yourself. Which is amazing in one of the busiest cities in the world. London is so full of hidden gems it never ceases to amaze.
